Abstract

|
Patients under anesthetic management could be threatened by major side effects of an anesthetics to the central nervous system, the circulatory system, the respiratory system, and the complications associated with anesthetic techniques. So the administration of anesthetics by a non-anesthesiologist can cause the medical accident. However, the anesthetic management for a minor surgery by the non-anesthesiologist is increasing, therefore the necessity of training for the non-anesthesiologist’s anesthesia and the sedation is emphasized. This article described the perianesthetic management for the minor surgery and the medical lawsuits associated with an anesthetic malpractice by the non-anesthesiologist.
